Same question here. Been burned too many times by fake profiles and paywalls that show up after you've already invested time setting up a profile.

Came across Flurrydate recently and it's been decent—worth checking out if you haven't.

I've had way better luck being specific in my profile about what I want than trying to cast a wide net. Specific attracts compatible people.
